Nigeria’s Golden Eaglet got a step closer to their pursuit
for a fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title as they walloped
their Brazilian counterparts 3-0 to advance to the semi
finals.
After a 2-1 defeat against Croatia in the last group
game, the Golden Eaglets bounced back to winning ways
to trounce Australia 6-0 in their second round game with
top scorer of the tournament Victor Osimhen netting a
treble.
Brazil scraped through its last 16 clash against New
Zealand and had to improve to beat the Eaglets.
However, goals in the space of five minutes from top
scorer Osimhen, Michael and Anumudu was enough for
Nigeria to ease past through to the semis.
